HON. TOMMY L. GARRETT
PRINCIPAL OWNER, PRESIDENT & CEO
Tommy formed TGG in 2007 and serves as President and CEO for The Garrett Group. Tommy’s background includes service as an intelligence officer, commander, leader, Nebraska State Senator and business manager with over 40 years of experience in operations, intelligence, defense contracting and public service. He has been highly successful in leading and managing large business and intelligence organizations to include: Commander for Military Matters and Director of the Operations Division, National Air Intelligence Center (Pentagon); Commander, Intelligence Division (Squadron), U.S. Air Force Weapons School (Nellis AFB, NV); Deputy Group Commander, Intelligence School House (Goodfellow AFB, TX); Commander, 607th Air Intelligence Group and Director of Intelligence 7th Air Force (Osan AB, Korea); Commander USSTRATCOM Joint Intelligence Center (Offutt AFB, NE); Director, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Division (Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia). Tommy is a graduate of the National War College, Air War College, Air Command and Staff College, the U.S. Air Force Weapons School and is a RAND Corporation Research Fellow.
Don Kelly
VICE PRESIDENT & PROGRAM MANaGER FOR CONTRACT OPERATIONS
Don is Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for The Garrett Group. Don manages our program management and contract capture personnel as well as the financial execution of the company. Over his 12-year contracting career, he has led operations resulting in over 100 distinct contract awards in excess of $275M dollars. A former USAF officer, his military career included flying tours in the RC-135 and B-1B, joint assignments and operational command. Don also serves as the Chairman of the politically elected Sarpy County Board of Commissioners and oversees all County funds and business-related activities for the fastest growing county in Nebraska. Don sits on the Board of Directors for the 55th Wing Association, Papillion La Vista Schools Foundation, Sarpy County Economic Development Corporation, Sarpy and Cass County Health Department and Sarpy County and Cities Wastewater Agency.
Mark Williamson
VICE PRESIDENT for Strategic engagement
Mark is Vice President of Strategic Engagement for The Garrett Group. In this position, he is responsible for business development and customer relations. After graduation from the United States Air Force Academy, he held several flying assignments serving in positions from instructor and evaluator in both the RC-135 Rivet Joint and RQ-4 Global Hawk. He also commanded at multiple senior levels to include squadron and group command, Team Chief on the National Airborne Operations Center and Vice Commander of the 55th WG at Offutt AFB. As the Vice Wing Commander, he was responsible for organizing, training, and equipping six groups and 32 squadrons executing worldwide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; electronic attack; command and control; presidential support; and treaty verification missions. He was also responsible for base support to more than 50 associate units, including U.S. Strategic Command, 557th Weather Wing, and more than 57,000 active-duty members, civilians, family members and retirees in the Offutt area. Mark is a command pilot with over 4,500 flying hours and is a graduate of the Joint Advanced Warfighting School.
Joyce Schlickbernd
Joyce is Assistant Vice President and serves as a Program Manager for The Garrett Group, where she manages a portfolio of contracts and personnel supporting missions at United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) and other Department of Defense organizations. She is an Army Reserve veteran and commissioned through Creighton University in Omaha, NE, as an Intelligence Officer and later credentialed as a Counterintelligence (CI) Agent. Mrs. Schlickbernd dedicated 14 years to several units in the Nebraska Army National Guard and eventually USSTRATCOM J39, while also serving dual status as a contractor for 10 years in USSTRATCOM’s J2X Counterintelligence and HUMINT Division as a Senior CI Analyst, specifically focusing on U.S. nuclear command, control, and communications (NC3). Mrs. Schlickbernd aims to provide Government customers with experienced and long-term personnel to ensure customer satisfaction and to build enduring partnerships for mission accomplishment.
John T. Hunter
John is Assistant Vice President and Capture Manager for The Garrett Group. He brings 28 years of experience leading personnel and building successful teams with a winning record in proposal and capture, intelligence, mission execution, project management, systems and process integration, administration, training, strategic analysis, operations, and planning. As a career intelligence professional, he provided mission support from tactical operations up through national strategic deterrence and defense at the Combatant Command and Joint Staff levels. His Intelligence career includes duties included command and several high visibility service and joint headquarters staff assignments. He is a graduate of National Intelligence University.
John Egan
John is Assistant Vice President and Chief Security Officer for The Garrett Group. He also serves as Program Manager for the 50 SW SSO contract. He brings extensive experience in Law Enforcement, Counter-Intelligence, Intelligence facility design and construction, and intelligence personnel security processing along with security development and integration. Mr. Egan performed in various federal law enforcement and security assignments over a 30-year career in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. He works closely with the Counter-Intelligence community on current counter-terrorism issues affecting all levels of public safety and business in Nebraska. Mr. Egan was a trusted advisor for a large defense contracting firm and member of the FBI’s INFRAGARD program. He was the Chief Security Officer for the Jackson Division and continually called upon to assist with the construction of the new FBI’s Headquarters, located in Huntsville, AL. He has handled all security issues regarding program design, development, and implementation. He has been a Special Security Officer (SSO) for nine federal agencies within the U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC). He has also managed the security allocation for over 500 employees within the FBI division.
Robert Copley
Bob serves as the Chief Technology Officer for The Garrett Group. As the CTO, he is responsible for the long-range direction of the Garrett Group’s technology operations and leads the company’s internal cybersecurity posture. He researches and analyzes technology trends that could improve the company's products and performance in new markets. He is an Air Force veteran and executive leader with over 20 years of experience in technical leadership positions. Mr. Copley’s Air Force career included eight years of providing government oversight to modification contracts valued over $350M per year on multiple, different aircraft platforms. He ensured quality assurance and compliance (QA/QC) in all phases of production and software development life cycles by conducting on-site audits and sampling procedures. Additionally, he ensured that defense contractors followed ITAR and Federal Acquisition Regulations in his role as a foreign military sales liaison. Mr. Copley logged hundreds of flight hours as a Flight Test Director, where he evaluated the performance of network and computer systems upgrades on over a dozen different types of aircraft. A proven leader with a record of managing multiple departments and complex projects.
